A Focus on Growing Sales
In 2010, Bobby Ramkhelawan was working as the Procurement Officer for a large hardware store but was fed up with being constantly called out for low sales due to importing the wrong types of products. This awoke his inner marketer, and that’s when he decided to establish his own rep firm.

Shortly after, the business evolved into a marketing and sourcing company that worked to connect global suppliers with regional buyers on a personal level within the construction space.
With the right team, market-driven strategies and taking a proactive role in merchandising and marketing techniques we are creating awareness, building brand recognition, and maximizing return on investments for both our principals and customers.
The BuildMAX Story
Ever since the founding of BuildMAX, we have endeavored to contribute to the construction industry from an international perspective.
We were tired of:

Watching the construction industry be ripped off by redundant middlemen, grandfathered into the supply chain raising construction costs.
The hassle of sourcing reliable suppliers and having to rifle through several RFQ’s and FRI’s for various items required to select suppliers.

Our Timeline
Our humble beginnings originate from acquiring representative status for three different products across three companies:

• VPJ Group, India (tiles)
• Goede, Brazil (pine doors)
• Xiamen Import & Export, China (natural stone products)
BuildMAX LLC was incorporated in the USA, and we opened our China-based representative office to become a one-stop shop for sourcing construction materials from China.
OneSource was then established to provide Sourcing, Quality Control & Logistics services to clients wishing to import or manufacture in China and Southeast Asia.
BuildMAX Inc., as we know it today, was subsequently incorporated in Guyana, and took over the Marketing, Business Development, and Sales functions for the Caribbean and Latin American regions
The Channel Partner Marketing Program was established, allowing us to offer trending and innovative products and known brands from Europe and the USA.
Our online construction supplies marketplace was launched, offering tailored services to contractors, developers and their design and purchasing teams.
